Florida Softball divides the season, detecting a two -headed Puerto Vallege Challenge – Tallahassee Democrat

The Softball team # 9 of Florida opened its 2025 season with two games in Puerto Valyart, Mexico, dividing the two -headed season of the season against No. 4 Oklahoma and Northern Colorado.

FSU is in Mexico for Challenge Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. Seminoles play # 4 Oklahoma, Northern Colorado and Louisiana Tech, in a section of five matches in three days.

This is the first two early season tournaments for Seminoles, as the team heads to Clearwater for The Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational next week.

Game 1: Oklahoma State 9, FSU 6

In the Top 10 with their participation with The Cowgirls, Seminoles were held without result in the first two passes, while the Oklahoma State scored three.

Solo Home Running by Jaysoni Beachum put seminoles on the board in the third Inning and Sac Fly by Annabelle Widra in the fourth, was invalidated by six runs in two Oklahoma submissions. Focusing on the seventh, FSU left 9-2.

Seminols showed signs of life in the final frame. Kennedy Harp hit Homer with two running to cut the lead to five, and three later the beach later the beach for the second time, hitting a two-time host. However, Isa Torres is based on the end of the game by winning Oklahoma State 9-6.

FSU played four pitchers against Cowgirls such as Ashin Danley, Julia Apsel, Mimi Guden and McNe Reed, everyone stepped on the mound. Danley started and was credited for the loss.

Game 2: FSU 7, North Colorado 1

Seminoles quickly scored the first victory for the season with a comfortable victory against Northern Colorado, winning 7-1.

Jazz Francic debuted at the Seminoles mound, throwing six passes and hit four. Widra put the final Innning to close the victory.

FSU placed two tracks in the first of Katie Dack’s double, following it with two more tracks in the second of the harp’s single and another SAC fly by Widra. Seminoles added two tracks at the beginning of the seventh to bring the game out of reach and win Seaosn’s first victory.

What next for Seminoles?

FSU will play two -headed against Louisiana Tech on Friday.

Seminoles’s first game starts at 14:00 and is quickly followed by game two at 5:00 pm
