Baton Rouge – Five students in the capital were among 24 finalists for students of the year in Louisiana, the Ministry of Education reported on Tuesday.
Zoey Jenkins from Parkview Primary School in parish east Baton Rouge, Kai Ava-Jrew Butler from Brusly Upper Elementary School in West Baton Rouge parish were declared finalists in the fifth grade.
Briel honor from Gonzalez Secondary School in the parish parish was baptized for eighth grade.
Marley McLelon of Holland High School in the parish of assets and Krisoundaline Louise Ryan Clark of Port Allen High School in the parish of Western Baton Rouge were declared finalists for the 12th grade.
According to the Ministry of Education, students are selected on the basis of criteria that measure academic achievements, leadership skills, nature and service of their schools and communities.
