Firefighters from San Bernardino Rescuing Girl Tied to Bed from Burning to Home – Fox 11 Los Angeles

San Bernardino, California. – San Bernardino’s mother thanked the firefighters for saving her daughter after being trapped in a fire that cost them their house.

Elizabeth Romero’s home climbed on Monday. The fire destroyed much of their home. But when firefighters reached the house, the 23-year-old daughter was still trapped inside the Romero’s bed.

“While we were pulling, a family member said there was a victim in a trap. We started pushing down the hall,” said Captain Nick Turner. “We couldn’t see anything. We could see him that a fireball ball over our top, but the smoke was all the way to the floor. We were looking mainly by feeling and using our thermal image chambers.”

In the end, the firefighters felt the door to the girl’s bedroom. The door was closed, holding the fire at a distance, but not the smoke.

“She was calling, she was screaming,” Turner said. “But I found it, I picked it up and said,” I have you. I won’t let you go. “

But there was a problem. Firefighters could not take her out of the house through the hall.

“If we brought it through the corridor where we entered, it would have inhalation of smoke, burns,” said the paramedic Jesse Quinsen.

Instead, the fire captain Greg Soria and his crew pierced the bedroom window.

“When I saw light, when I saw the window and saw another of my partners outside, Captain Soria and his team, I knew that then it would be a really good result,” Turner said. “And I was delighted.”

The firefighters managed to cross the girl out the window where they managed to bring her to safety.

The paramedics took her to the hospital. Her family says she can be released soon.
