The Williams Lake Fire Service responded to a fire of the structure yesterday (Monday) in the afternoon in the Glendale area.
The fireman’s assistant Corey Boyd said they were sent around 3:39 with reports of flames coming from the roof.
“After arriving, some of the building was completely absorbed and the fire quickly spread to the rest of the home. The crews were confronted with challenging access, but they managed to overthrow the flames and focus on quenching hot spots. “
Boyd said the fire was contained in this structure, which was a complete loss and that no one was injured.
After interviews and observations from the early stages of the fire, Boyd said the probable cause was the wood stove but was not confirmed.
The Williams Lake Fire Service responded with 2 main pickup trucks, a ladder truck, 2 engines and 22 firefighters.
Boyd added that most of their members were aside from the scene to six tonight, while the ladder truck and 8 firefighters remained and worked in the city excavator to ensure that the fire had come out.
The Williams Lake Fire Service is reminiscent of public clear access to the home and property can significantly improve fire operations, help protect the structures nearby, and guarantee the safety of their members and the community.
