Firefighters are investigating the cause of a free home in Baton Rouge – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Firefighters are investigating the cause of a free home fire in Baton Rouge.

The fire started at about 8:30 am on Friday, February 21st.

The crews with the Batton Rouge fire service rushed to the scene of Avenue Fairfields near N. 28 Street and found flames to the back of the homes.

Firefighters had to remove some boards to enter home, but they were able to protect the flames from distribution.

According to BRFD, no one lived in the home during the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

While the cause of the fire remained in the process of investigation, firefighters said they believe the flames began in the rear veranda area.
