This weekend, the Miami Marathon is returning, bringing with it thousands of runners from all over the world that will pass by some of the most emblematic landmarks of South Florida. However, this event is also available with a significant closure of the road that will affect traffic in several key areas.

If you live, work or just travel in the center of Miami, you are probably already familiar with the current situation. Multiple cones have been created and the streets are closed. But don’t worry, because here are some alternatives to avoid these inconveniences.

The closure will be valid throughout the weekend and the roads will not open again until Sunday between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm, so it is important to plan forward and look for alternative routes.

Street closure and alternatives

The trafficking in the east of the Mayor cause will be closed from 5 am to 8:15 am. The Venetian cause will be closed from 6 to 10 am. Meanwhile, Rickenbacker’s Causeway will be closed from 6:30 to noon.

Temporary closure will be available along Brickel Avenue, Boulevard Boulevard, South Miami Avenue, North Miami Avenue and South Baysor Drive.

From 5am to 10am, several streets in the Miami Beach area will be closed, affecting Alton Road, Ocean Drive, Washington Avenue, South Pointe Drive, as well as Prairie and Meridian Avenues.
