As it seems that # 1 Texas Softball will repeat its success at the Conference level and return to the World World Series final for Women’s College for the third time in the last four years, it will have many challenges on the road with a glove of the conference graphics.
Longhorns will return the field on February 7 against Louisiana. However, with the beginning of the conference game, Texas will face six teams ranked in the top 25, four of which are ranked in the top 10 in the pre -season chart. The conference series will be a key component for the success of Texas.
Here’s a little idea of a few of these matches:
No. 2 Florida, March 15-17
Longhorns visit Gators at the beginning of the season, playing their biggest challenge in the ranking. They face the Florida team, crowned the SEC tournament champion last season and ended as a semi -finalist in the world series of Women’s College.
Pitching and Fielding will be key to Texas in this series because Florida is a team that receives hits and home slopes in grapes. The Florid testers amounted to 581 hits and 100 households in the 2024 season.
No. 3 Oklahoma, April 25-27
This is a series that does not need an introduction. Longhorns will travel across the Red River in Norman and face SOONERS in late April. On top of the Red River’s rivalry, this match is a rematch of the World World Series final for a women’s college for a season. Oklahoma won its fourth consecutive Women’s College World Series after 2-0 Texas furniture.
No. 5 Tennessee, 11-13 April
The first-ever SEC home series for Texas sees them facing a team in Tennessee, who boasted a record of 44-12 last season and was the champion of the regular season of SEC. The Managing Coach of the Year SEC Karen Weekly and Jr. Carlin Pickens’s Second Pitcher of the Year will lead the volunteers in the match.
Pickens ended last season with ERA of 1.12 and was selected for the pre-season All-American by the first team at Softball America.
No. 9 LSU, April 17-19
Before the season, Texas lost a match for a non -conference on LSU, 7-4. Now conference enemies, LSU travels to Red & Charline Mccombs Field for the first time since 2022.
SEC is full of elite pitches that Texas may have to collide and a pair of LSU pitchers are no different. Junior Sydney Berzon has published a career era of 1.84 and a career record of 34-17. Transfer Pitcher Redshirt Senior Ashley Valecho played four seasons in Mcnese State and accumulated 2.44 ERA and 45-24 recording.
