Fifolet Halloween Festival in Baton Rouge Features Bar Crawl, Costume Ball, Parade – AOL

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPRUD) — The capital’s premier ghost celebration rolls into town this week.

The Fifolet Halloween Festival begins on Thursday, October 24 and runs through Sunday, October 27. The theme of this year’s festival is “They Walk Among Us”. The big event is organized by the 10/31 non-profit consortium.

Here’s a quick overview of the event schedule.

  • Zombie pub crawl: Participants will stroll through downtown Baton Rouge in their best costumes, stopping at local bars along the route for eerie elixirs and spooky cocktails.

  • Costume ball: This spooky yet elegant event at LSU’s Lod Cook Alumni Center will feature live music, dancing, a silent auction and a costume contest fit for the evening’s most creative creatures.

  • Fifolet 5K, Art Market and Halloween Parade: Downtown Baton Rouge will transform into a Halloween paradise starting with the Fifolet 5K. Attendees will have the opportunity to browse the Art Market showcasing the best local spooky crafts and enjoy the area’s only Halloween Parade at 4:00 p.m.

  • Awards Brunch: Organizers will close the festival with a Halloween-themed brunch at the Women’s Club of Baton Rouge, honoring this year’s wicked winners.
