The city of Louisville honors a local man who is a driving force in the entertainment industry. February 12 was announced for Dorian Washington Day with a proclamation by Mayor Craig Greenberg.

Dorian Washington began his career more than 30 years ago and has since contributed to the success of many famous music artists, DI and producers. He has received three Grammy Awards for Writing and Management, 65 Riaa Platinum and Gold Plaques and several other remarkable awards.

Currently, Washington is the president of the Hitmaker Music Group, where it recruits and manages talents and produces special projects. Previously, he was Vice President of Relationships with Artists for the 24 Nike Division, where he plays a vital role in the strategic performance of the brand.

Dorian’s greatest achievement is on the legacy of his close friend and business partner Statica Major, who was recently added to Louisville’s hometown. The Static Banner hangs on the Roots building 101 Afro -American Museum and there is an exhibit in the museum that shows his successful music career.
