Fantasy Hockey Focus: Mining the waiver wire (Week 4) – EP Rinkside

Every year we see unexpected, underrated and underrepresented fantasy players come out hot from the draft and pay dividends for those who were quick enough to get them off the waiver wire. Some of those players fall back to the ground and end up back in the pile where anyone can hit. Others continue to defy preseason expectations and become tangible pieces capable of helping your team make a fantasy playoff run.

As we’ll do every week, I’ll examine prospects who are featured in less than 60 percent of all Fantrax leagues at the time of writing. They may have suddenly found themselves in a better situation, with a hot hand, or faced with an overly generous schedule.
