As the tension increased, the Palestinian fighters late on Friday said they had turned the right set of remains to the Red Cross, which sent them to Israel for testing. The identification was confirmed early on Saturday.

Despite the anger, Israel and Hamas continued forward with another exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners on Saturday as part of the cessation of fire.

Hamas had to release six more Israeli hostages on Saturday from the Gaza Strip, but the replacement of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners was overshadowed by increased tension between the opponents, which blurs the future of the fire termination deal.

As the preparation was moving forward on Friday, Netanyahu promised revenge for a “cruel and malicious violation” of the agreement focused on the wrong identification of an organ released by Hamas.

Israel said his tests determined that the three hostages were killed by their abductors. Hamas said the two sons of Oded Lifshitz and the two sons of G -Jzha Bibas – Ariel and Cfir were killed in the Israeli air strikes of Gaza.

Hamas said this would “carry out a thorough examination” of information about the body and suggested that Israeli bombing over the area where hostages were being held could have caused the remains to be mixed.

The group’s military wing, Al Casam’s brigades, said it would continue to release the six Israeli hostages planned for Saturday.

The body’s identity dispute raised a new doubt over the fire termination deal, which stopped over 15 months of war, but is approaching the end of its first phase.

Negotiations on the second phase, in which Hamas will release dozens of more hostages in exchange for a permanent cessation of fire and Israeli withdrawal, will probably be even more difficult.

It is expected that the six Israeli men who were released on Saturday will be the last living hostages released during the first phase of the ceasefire.

27 -year -old Elijah Cohen, 22 -year -old Omer Shem Tov, and Omer Venkert, 23 -year -old, were abducted by the Music Festival during the attack on October 7th. The 40-year-old Tal Shoham, which was taken from the Kibbutz Beer community, is also ready to be released with 39-year-old Avera Mengist S

More than 600 Palestinians closed in Israel will be released in return, according to the Palestinian prisoner’s media office on Friday.

The prisoners set for release include 50 serving life sentences, 60 with long sentences, 47, which were released under a previous hostage-for-prison and 445 Gaza prisoners arrested since the beginning of the war.

Hamas said he would release four more bodies next week, completing the first phase of fire. If this plan is implemented, Hamas will keep about 60 hostages, about half of which are thought to be alive.

Hamas said he would not release the other captives without a permanent ceasefire and complete withdrawal of Israel.

Netanyahu, with the full support of the Trump administration in the United States, says he is committed to destroying the military and ruling capacity of Hamas and returning all hostages, the goals widely regarded as mutually exclusive.
