Many treasure students have received their first snowy day in 2025, presenting an exciting opportunity to break through the hill in Camille’s back park.

Boise, Idaho – many schools in the treasure valley closed on Friday morning because of the snow that darkened the area. To make the most of the snowy day, the students had fun.

KTVB went to Camille’s back park and witnessed dozens of children, making the hike up the snowy hill. After reaching the top, they attached themselves to their “snow rocket” and flew down the hill.

People at the bottom had to get out of the way as the riders continued to fight on the hill.

A girl, El, told KTVB how she called on time and canceled the school.

“It was a superstition, so it is to put a silver spoon under your pillow, a white pastel in the fridge, flushing ice cubes in the toilet and carry your pajamas on the inside,” said El.

A group of children told KTVB that they were excited that they could get a snowy day and appreciate their parents that they had taken them. Their parents stood at the top of the hill with coffee glasses in their hand, smiling when their children slid to the bottom.
