Fallen fundraising: North Las Vegas employee remembered – photos – Las Vegas Review -Journal

A fundraising took place on Monday at the Nevada Coin Mart in Las Vegas for a fallen police officer in North Las Vegas.

Jason Roskov, the father of two young boys, was a 17-year-old veteran of the North Las Vegas department. He was killed last week in a shootout with a man identified as Alexander Matisse, 25 years old after officers responded to messages about a man aimed at a gun at a short time ago 2:15 pm near Lone Mountain Road and Camino al Norte, Police reported.

Shot repeatedly by Matisse, Roskov also managed to return the fire. Roskov was taken to the University Medical Center where he died. Matis also died.

The funeral services for Roskov will be held at the Central Church in Henderson at 10 am Thursday.
