Lubbock, Texas (November 1, 2024) – The Lubbock Christian University Department of Athletics is excited to welcome back Everett Corder as Director of Sports Information.
Corder returns to LCU after serving as the marketing coordinator for the Texas Tech Alumni Association. The Amarillo, Texas native previously served as the assistant sports information director at LCU from 2019 to 2022 before moving on to Texas Tech. While at Tech, he assisted with the game day staff and broadcast roles with LCU baseball.
Prior to his initial tenure at LCU, Corder led the athletic department’s communications efforts at Angelo State University, where he also earned his M.S. His career began with a communications internship in the Texas Tech athletic department while completing his bachelor’s degree in 2016.
During his time at Texas Tech, Corder was the sports editor for the The everyday bullfighter in 2014-15 He also worked as a sports correspondent for Amarillo Globe-News and as a sports reporter for Canyon News.
“I am thrilled to welcome Everett back to our department,” said LCU Associate Athletic Director of Communications Chris Dew. “His passion for promoting student-athletes and athletic programs is invaluable, and I am grateful to our university leadership for their commitment to strengthening our department as the demands within the profession continue to grow.”
Corder joins a department that has recently undergone staff member changes. Alec Child, who had served as assistant director of sports information, accepted a position at UT Dallas, and in August Nick Teague joined the staff as a graduate assistant.
