Six weeks ago, the San Diego Men’s Basketball Team became one of the most complete performances of the season when winning the Mountain West 76-68 conference in Boise State.
Aztecs (16-6, 9-4) were locked for all 40 minutes against Broncos (17-7, 9-4), which was not always the case with the San Diego state throughout the MWC game.
On Tuesday, the 69-66 victory in San Jose State, the Aztecs gave up 17 points in the first half before they reset. San Diego State also lags behind with double numbers in a home game with the Spartans (12-15, 5-10) and a recent victory over Wyoming (11-14, 4-10).
“It’s interesting, but … I think it’s not just this San Diego State Team, it’s only Division I basketball,” said Broncos’s chief coach Leon Rice. “Yes, this San Diego team had these swings. But they have always had this, every good team does. “
Broncos and the Aztecs will meet again at 8:00 pm Mountain Time on Saturday in San Diego. Both teams are at the NCAA tournament.

According to the ESPN Basketball Basketball Basketball Index (BPI), San Diego State has a 60.6 percent chance of winning the match on Saturday. BPI gives Boise State 39.4 percent a chance to take revenge on the Aztecs.

The Aztecs won one point in the Air Force (3-22, 0-14), a two-point home win over Wyoming and a couple won three points over San Jose. Last Saturday, San Diego missed 68-63 road games in Colorado (15-9, 9-4).
Aztecs slipped to No. 53 in Net Rankings and entered the NCAA balloon on Saturday.
