Chelsea have scored at least one goal in each of their previous ten games with the highest flight and lost only twice throughout the Stamford Bridge season to Manchester City in mid-August and near the neighborhood Fulham on boxing day- But the Blue have only registers one victory in their last seven in the Premier League, while they were defeated 3-1 by Manchester City for the last time.

Some may approach these types of fears games, but Irving is not this type of character. Instead, the midfielder enjoys the challenge and believes that the team is more than able to upset the chances.

“We know that facing Chelsea is always a difficult task and that we face a really good country with the highest quality players,” said Irving, who has so far participated in all West Ham competitions until this season.

“They are a really strong team, but we also have this, so if we can take our quality and apply the way we want to play, then there is no reason why we cannot win.

“We showed what we can do against Aston Villa last time outside, which are also a difficult country to stand up at home and we did really well and we were probably a little disappointed that we only got away with a point, not all three.

“There are many positives to take in the game on Monday and I am confident that we can take something from it.”
