Wilmington, NC (WWAY)-a new two-storey entertainment complex may soon come to Wilmington, offering various activities for families and visitors. The proposed development, covering more than 40,000 square feet, will include an arcade, bowling, restaurant and several tournament courts. The complex is planned to be located in a 5000 block of Oleander’s drive.
A project team representative shared information about why Wilmington, and in particular Oleander Drive’s location, was selected for this new endeavor. “If our project is approved, we look forward to bringing a high quality, a local entertainment option along the corridor of Oleander Drive, where the whole family can get together to eat, play and celebrate everyone under one roof …”
Local business owner Larry Casey, who runs Casey’s buffet and can potentially become a neighbor of the new complex, expressed support. “This will help all of us and be great for the city and the county – more tax revenue. I think it will be good … ”
Before moving forward, the proposal must be approved by the Wilmington City Council. The development will be presented for a review of their next meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
