Elementary teacher at Northwoods, awarded with the Golden Apple Award – Weau

Eau claire, wis. (Weau) -We continue our 10th year in honor of teachers and staff in the school neighborhood of the Eau Claire area for the second week of our Golden Apple Awards.

Our next recipient was at Northwoods Primary School. Sara Gilbert received her golden apple moment. She has taught first grade for 24 years and has taught at Northwoods for 22 years. Her family joined her students by honoring her.

“One of the highlights every year is the Golden Apple Award for a deserving staff member,” said the elementary school principal Northwoods, Luke Stern. “One of the things is that it is very oriented towards detail. It is not uncommon for Sarah to ask questions about something two months now and what we plan here because it is so hardened, always to think ahead. “

Sarah and Northwood will receive $ 500 grants from Eau Claire’s public schools and generous sponsors.
