BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPRUD) — West Baton Rouge Parish voters can vote in several races on Election Day.
Two people are running for mayor of Port Allen after Lance Joseph was disqualified: Teresita Pollard Patten, an independent, and Clyde Robertson Sr., a Democrat.
In Brusley, incumbent Jonathan Jules Lefault faces challenger Philippe Labov for the police chief position. Both are not a party,
Democrats Adrain W. Joseph and incumbent Clarice “Chloe” Lacy are in the race for a vacant Port Allen council member.
Two Democrats, Rhonda “Understand” Franklin and incumbent Charlene Gordon, are also running for the District 1 council seat in Port Allen.
Gregory Payne, Democrat, and incumbent Hugh “Hootie” Riviere, unaffiliated, are running in the race for Port Allen County Council II.
Elliott “Woody” Dogan, a Democrat, and incumbent Gary L. Hubbell, a Republican, are running for the District III council seat in Port Allen.
Nine people are running for the five positions on the Addis City Council. They are:

There are five races in which candidates win by being the only qualifiers.
Two mayors will retain their seats, David H. Toops, No Party, will remain mayor of Addis, and Scott Rhodes, a Republican, will again be mayor of Brusly.
Donovan W. Mitchell, No Party, will be Port Allen police chief after incumbent Corey I. Hicks, a Democrat, withdrew from the race.

Jason “Possum” Langlois, No Party, will retain his post as Addis Police Chief.
April L. King, a Democrat, will serve on the council for District IV in Port Allen after Shelton A. Berry, an independent, was disqualified, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website.
On Tuesday, November 5th, polls will be open from 6am to 8pm in Louisiana.
Voters across the country will determine the next president of the United States. Voters statewide will decide on a proposed constitutional amendment and representation in the US Congress. According to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office, 22 parishes have local races and proposals; 22 have native races but no suggestions; 15 have only state and presidential elections; and five have native offerings but no native races.
Every second round of elections will be held on Saturday, December 7. Early voting for this election will be from 8:30am to 6:00pm on November 22-30, excluding Sunday, November 24, Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. Residents who want to vote early can use the GeauxVote mobile app to find their early voting locations, view their sample ballot and view the voting site on Election Day.
Unless noted, one must be selected in each race.
