El Reno, Kfor (Kfor) – A vehicle fire prompted El Reno Regional Airport to close briefly on Friday.
Officials with the airport confirmed that a fire started on an oil field where a fracking truck ignited.
El Reno fire service officials say the crews arrived at the scene and found three half-kamions that were set on fire, which were distributed in more vehicles. About 10 semi-kamions were lit due to the incident.
The El Reno Regional Airport closed for some time due to the smoke, which affected visibility, but later opened again.
Officials say one person received the doctor and was transported to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
