Ebro: The 16-year-old brings a gun to Tara Hi, a weapon found during accidental search-wbrz

The Baton Rouge-16-year-old high school in Tara was arrested on Monday morning when employees performed a routine search and found a loaded gun in their school bag.

The service of the parish sheriff in East Baton Ruzh said that the student had told MPs that he did not know he was in his backpack.

Tara Hi staff said the students’ dean found a weapon in the abandoned backpack of the student sitting outside the school.

“The student abandons the backpack after seeing security measures upon arrival. This incident enhances the importance of our safety protocols and we are grateful to our dean for his vigilance in providing the well -being of our students and employees,” director John Hajman’s director said in an email to the parents. “We firmly believe that our security measures have helped prevent entering our campus of this weapon.”

He was accused of illegally carrying a firearm, carrying a firearm on the school property and in an area without firearms.
