EBR Schools Superintendent sends a letter to the parents, addresses fears of deportation of immigrants – WAFB

East Baton Rouge Parish, La. (WAFB) – East Baton Rouge School System Chief The Parge sent a letter to the parents and addressed the constant concerns about the deportation of undocumented immigrants.

The letter from Chief Lamont Cole came after the US Department of Hostess announced the arrest and the deportation of thousands of undocumented migrants. The actions were taken within a few days after President Trump returned to the White House.

Community defenders said, in the background of immigration repression, some parents were concerned about sending their children to school.
