EASTENDERS PAM ST CLEMENT reveals a surprising inspiration behind Pat Butcher – Irvine Times

The 82-year-old was reminiscent of Eastenders Ross Camp: 40 years per square documentary about what she did after learning that she had received the role of a BBC soap matriarch.

Speaking to the show, St. Clement said: “When I received the Pat part, like every actor, I decided to do some homework, saw this bus on bus number 38 and she wore these most dangerous earrings, Pat Pat always wears earrings, that match her mood. ”

Kemp, who recently returned to Albert Square as Grant Mitchell, then asked the actress how many earrings she had received in the role.

She replied, “Do you know those tools with tools you can get this?

“I had one of these and a wall bracket with hanging earrings, but the interesting thing is that most of them come from viewers.”

St. Clement continued to tell the 60-year-old that people would send her earrings in the publication, telling her “I saw them on the market and decided they were absolutely suitable for Pat.”

Pat was played by the actress for more than 25 years between 1986 and 2012, briefly reappearing in hallucination as part of the last scenes of Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) in 2016.

During her time, Pat’s square was the queen of the Vic Queen, and some of her biggest storylines included her affair with Frank Becher (Mike Reed) and her eventual death from pancreatic cancer in 2012.

It comes when Eassenders prepares for a special hour episode on Wednesday, February 19, the day of the 40th anniversary of the show, followed by a complete live episode on February 20.

EASTENDERS: 40 years on the square will broadcast on BBC One and BBC Iplayer at 8:00 pm on Monday, February 17th.
