Dust Police investigate the death of a woman found on Pilot street Early Saturday morning, responding to a report around 7:39 am from a cardiac/respiratory arrest in 400 block of E. Pilot StreetS After their arrival, the officers found an elderly woman lying on the ground and confirmed their death at the scene.
Contrary to circulating claims in social media, which suggested the discovery of two women killed Faetheville Street– one in a ditch and the other “In the garbage naked”– Police in Durham explained that only one death investigation was conducted in the area.

The scene was cleared shortly afterwards and the investigation of the woman’s death continued. No further information has been published and the police have not indicated how or where the woman was found.
Durham’s police also said: “At that time, it was not thought that death was suspicious.”
