Drone event to help celebrate the 200 in Durham Railway – RaILADVENT – Railway News

The S & DR200 Festival-Importance of the two hundredth anniversary of the passenger railway on a hundredth and Darlington Railway (S&R)-to start with an outdoor event in Bishop Auckland on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Tickets for the event cost £ 5 per person and £ 5 parking and driving a car.

The organizers promise “dazzling projections, drones and up to 100 live performers that revive history.”

Local tips for Darlington Boro, Durham County and a hundredth-on-Toy Boro deliver the festival. National lottery grant also helps the railway line and Darlington to celebrate its duels.

The festival will include relaxation of the first S&R trip, withdrawn from Locomotia No. 1. It will also include large -scale outdoor events and exhibitions on the history of railways.

The start -up event, all changes, will present two centuries of railway history, marking historical moments from the Industrial Revolution to the present day. The organizers say it aims to celebrate “the transformative power of the trains of the landscape and our lives.”

The event will include large -scale pieces, projection mapping and original music. A four hundred drone fleet provided by Skymagic will provide a visual show with the night sky as a background. The show will last twenty -five minutes and is suitable for all ages.
