Spartanburg, SC – Rain and patchy fog will make for a wet start to the day across South Carolina as temperatures struggle to reach 50°F. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their morning commute as visibility may be reduced in some areas until late morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain will taper off by midday, leaving behind cloudy skies and cooler conditions. Skies are expected to gradually clear tonight, dropping overnight to near 30°F, potentially bringing freezing conditions to some locations.

Looking ahead, Tuesday will bring a welcome sunny sky and highs nearing 58°F. The warming trend will continue through the week heading into Thursday when highs could reach 60°F under mostly sunny skies. However, rain could return by Friday, with a 40% chance of showers forecast.

Residents should monitor updates and plan for potential travel impacts this morning, especially in low-lying areas. By midweek, milder temperatures and clear skies will offer a chance to enjoy outdoor activities.
