Glendale residents and visitors are invited to dress up as any character they wish and participate in a free “spooky” celebration at the Downtown Glendale Comic Book Festival Halloween.
The City of Glendale and Drawn to Comics are teaming up again to present Halloween ComicFest, an event where everyone can cosplay characters, get free comics, buy unique items from vendors, create crafts, play spooky games for a chance to win prizes and participate in other lively activities.
Events will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 26. The Velma Teague City Library is at 7010 N. 58th Ave., and the Drawn to Comics bookstore is at 5801 W. Glendale Ave.
Activities and the opportunity to wear costumes are open to people of all ages.
Halloween ComicFest is an annual event held on the last Saturday in October where participating specialty comic shops in North America and around the world give away exclusive comics for free to showcase the industry. For more information, visit the Drawn to Comics website
