A man was sentenced to life imprisonment for drug trafficking in 2022, including over 5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 12 ounces of heroin.
The 37 -year -old Kerry Williams has been convicted in a trial and will be eligible for probation in 18 years, the District Prosecutor’s Office of the Usho County said. During his arrest, Williams was suspended for a prior sentence for drug trafficking.
The city of the Williams residence has not been released.
In August 2022, the Regional Department of Drugs launched an operation at the Spa Center at Atlantis Casino resort after security staff reported severe leg trafficking and a supposed request related to the Williams Hotel Room. Investigators have already identified Williams as a suspected drug dealer in Washo.
Detectives captured Williams when he left the casino with multiple bags and went into a taxi. The K-9 unit stopped the vehicle and the dog warned the drug deputies. Williams had nearly 4 grams of methamphetamine on it, with the extra methamphetamine and heroin in their bags.
The second court judge of the District Court Lynn Jones chaired the case.
