‘Don’t go there’ – Florida State Seminoles details revealed as ’23 leader tells recruits to avoid Tallahassee – Gridiron Heroics

The Florida State Seminoles have had a tough time making plays on the field and also a tough time landing big recruits this year.

The Seminoles are in the midst of a terrible, record-breaking season that frankly most of the team and staff just want to end. However, the latter effects may already be in place, as former Seminoles players have been telling recruits to avoid the school. While it was previously a rumor, it has now been confirmed that leading receiver Keon Coleman is one such person.

Coleman was initially listed as the person who reportedly told recruits not to attend the program. However, it has now been confirmed by 247 Sports source Brendan Sonone that Coleman was in fact telling recruits not to commit to the Florida State Seminoles program.

According to Sonone, Coleman tells recruits that “Michigan State has developed the skills” he needs to succeed in the NFL. Coleman said the Seminoles didn’t “provide” him with the development and knowledge he needed to be ready for the next level. Rather, the wide receiver felt he didn’t learn anything new during his time with the Florida State Seminoles.

Making comments is one thing, but Coleman clearly reached out to recruits and did everything he could to keep people from joining the program. The exact reason why Coleman felt the need to do so is unclear, but it is said to have had an impact on the Seminoles’ recruiting process. Coleman is one of the most accomplished recent players to leave the program and enter the NFL, and is well-respected among college lookers.

What can the Florida State Seminoles salvage from the 2024 season?

With just a few games remaining, the Florida State Seminoles can’t do much to turn the season around, but the team can at least look competitive down the stretch.

It’s one thing if the team suffers a lot of bad luck, but it’s another when the score on the field forces people to leave the game. The Florida State Seminoles pitching staff has struggled to make an impact on the field, and while it has yet to make a major impact in recruiting, it very likely could. Therefore, the rest of the season should be damage management for the team.

There aren’t enough plays for the Seminoles to either make a bowl game or put together a solid season, but there are enough plays to change the narrative offensively.

If the Florida State Seminoles can put together three solid offensive performances to end the season, it will at least leave the team with something to build on. If the disaster only continues to grow, the team really has nothing to take away from this season. The Seminoles fought at every corner and leaving the season on a positive note is critical moving forward.

Whether the Florida State Seminoles sweep or not, winning a few games the rest of the season would be a good thing for both the team and the fans.
