Eight years after considered his last act, the “biggest show on the ground” returned to the magical city.
Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey have resurrected their organization with a modernized version of the former circus and nod to the history of long entertainment. The organizers no longer use Moniker ‘Circus to describe the show.
“This is a completely new rethinking show. There is still that great circus magic that has always been a circus attraction, “said Unicycle Wesley Williams artist at Ringling Wesley Williams before Al.com. “It’s just resumed for the 2025 audience”
The show is held on January 31 – February 2 at the Birmingham -Jefferson Conventional Complex in the city center.
Ringling last became Birmingham in 2017. On its classic circus train, which has traditionally housed elephants, performers, crew and their families.

The company has been around for nearly 150 years.
“This is older than Coca-Cola, older than a baseball, older than the Kentucky derby, and until seven years ago it still traveled by train,” Williams said. “It was the longest part of the private train on the railway lines in America.”
The train is no longer replaced by 18-wheeled, buses and commercial airlines. Elephants and other animals are also in the past, but new elements replace these retired classic elements, Williams promises.

Ringling toured the world to hire a new talent for the show. The composition includes 75 contractors from 18 countries.
“This is a real exhibition of the best in the world,” says Williams, who is the world record holder for the highest painful net in the world at 34.6 feet. “We stretch things in ways that have never been done before.”
He and other performers visited the Alabama Children’s Hospital on Wednesday to entertain young patients.
Williams describes the show as a merger of tradition and modernity. New elements include more technology and audience engagement.
“Everyone knows about Highwire, but now there are three high quality artists at the same time,” Williams said. “We just reinforced everything. Our flying trapeze now crosses, so there is one time and one goes the other way, so that people almost fly into your lap in the audience. “
About 30 semi-kamions are used to transport the materials needed for current shows while contractors travel with air and by bus.
“This allows Ringling to play in more cities than ever,” Williams explained.
Parts of the old circus train were sold by the owner of the Feld Entertainment show, while other parts were taken to museums across the country. And some other railway cars are owned by former contractors.

Williams celebrated a retired “human cannon” that bought its former railway home to use as a guest house.
Williams’ charm from the show began when he was 6 years old and his parents took him to his first ring show. Later, he is recruited to join the show while working in Monte Carlo.
“It’s a dream dream,” he said. “It’s really so good that it’s back because he’s woven into the American family tradition. You have new children, new parents, new grandparents, aunts and uncles who have not seen ringing. Returning this magic for children all over the country – we see it every day. “
