The Hialea Pizzeria Window was broken after one of her own drivers crashed into it.
Tamara Noriega, 48, works as a pizza delivery driver for Domino’s restaurant, located at 5874 W 20 Avenue.
On Sunday morning he appeared at the establishment to start his regular shift shortly before opening at 10am
“On Sunday, she always opens the pizzeria with me,” said her colleague Christopher Penas. “So when I saw a car approaching, I realized it was her.”
As he parked in front of the store, Noriega struck the throttle instead of the brake, the police said, which made him lose control of his car and crash into the store.
From the impact, the front was destroyed and the windows were scattered everywhere.
Fortunately, the pizzeria had not yet opened and there was no one but Penas inside.
Noriega suffered an injury to the crash. She was taken to a district hospital trembling and crying. A little later, her car was pulled by a tractor.
