Amarilo is called many things. A few of the top is a yellow city, Bomb City, the city of George Stit sings, but one of the things he is not known for being ghetto.

But a new video that swims around Amarillo one of the most cities in Texas.

What does ghetto mean?

According to the dictionary, Ghetto is defined as a poor urban area occupied mainly by a minority group or groups.

For an Amaril, it is filled with a wide variety of people and although, as in most cities, you will find improper areas in all cities. However, this does not do the whole city of ghetto.

This makes one wonder where these content creators get their information or whether they just get it out of thin air because the cities are not bigger cities.

According to Tiktok’s Geoviewusa, Amarilo has been declared third as the largest city in Texas. Entering No. 2, it was San Angelo and Wichita Falls entered # 1. They call these most cities in Texas, but they don’t tell you why.

According to the economic forecast of the National Bank of Amarilo, Amarilo can expect constant workplace growth in 2025 and an increase in retail sales. Amarillo has a very low unemployment rate, 2.6%and low cost of life compared to other cities in the county. This hardly screams the ghetto.

Amarillo Landmarks: Negative Views on Yelp

Yelp can be a strange and angry place. I learned this recently when I decided to first sort the feedback through “the most rating”.

I was fine with people upset by poor service and more. But I came across a few reviews that, due to a lack of better word, left me silent in their terrible negative reviews for some of the most emblematic places of Amarilo. Prepare yourself for a lot of shaking your head and “I don’t know” shrugs.
