Distinction colleagues quoted the Wilmington College Business Program – The Highland County Press

The National Society for College Common, Colleges of Distinction, resumed Wilmington College membership for 2025 as an institution with engagement programs. The business administration was one of the academic areas of WC, cited for his “engaged students, great teaching, life community and successful results.”

It is based on the popular Shark Tank series on television.

Dr. Angela Mitchell, an associated Vice President of Academic Affairs and a professor of business administration, said the college has the honor of being recognized as a business program in this way.

“As a former member of the Faculty of Business Department, I can certify the practical experience that students receive in the program,” she said. “Our faculty brings both the power of expert experience in their fields and professional experience in the classroom – they strengthen the education and interest of students. Due to the faculty’s relations within their industries, students are exposed to unique opportunities through class projects in the real world, behind -the -scenes excursions and internships. “

A recent study of the graduates of the College of Business, Accounting and Economics reflects these confessions. One graduate noted: “I enjoyed the interactive teaching environment, it also collaborates with other classmates and the culture that encourages creativity and expression of prospects,” while another said, “I liked the small classes and the relationship you were able to build with the faculty. It was also nice that many professors worked in the real world and were able to bring this experience to the classroom. “

College Business Programs include specialties in business administration with concentrations in funding, management, marketing, cybersecurity, logistics and management of the supply and strategic organizational leadership chain.
