Diesel spilled near Interstate Onramp after the vehicle lost load, said employees – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Hazmat’s teams responded to Diesel spill to the interstate on Tuesday morning, February 4.

According to the Baton Rouge fire department, the truck has lost some of its load, a bright pole generator causing a 30-liter diesel spill, which extends to 150 yards from St. Louis’s entrance ramp to I-10 to the west.

Officials said that a sand truck had been requested to absorb the residual diesel and improve the traction due to the slope and curvature of the roadway.

According to DOTD, the entrance ramp from St. Ferdinand to I-10 to the west has been blocked, but since then it has opened again.

No other details were released.
