Obituary

Dennis Allen Patrick, 79, died quietly on January 28, 2025. Dennis was born in Seattle, Washington of the late James and Mabel Palmer Patrick. He was preceded by death by his brother Bruce Patrick and his sister Kerry Burger.

Left to appreciate his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Ilaine Patrick; And sons, Zahari and Justin and his fiancée Marie.

Dennis graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963 and continued his education at Virginia University Weslian. There he found his love for football he will play in the next 50 years. While raising a family with his wife, she would later pursue a master’s degree at night to teach a history of the US AP.

Dennis spent her career as a teacher and coach for 40 years in Fort Hunt, West Springfield and Ocean Lakes. He loved inspiring minds, to raise dreams and to convey the importance of the history of future generations.

Dennis was a dedicated husband of her wife, a strong patron and advocate for her sons and a beloved teacher of many students over the years. He was an active member of the United Nimo Methodist Church at the Virginia Beach and later a tumo church in Band Oregon.

Throughout Dennis’ life, he was a keen reader, a lover of cinema, swinging and dancing music, sharing crosses and scrub games, traveling to the United States and enjoying the wonders of nature.

Look at him in the sun, rain and stars.

A service for the celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home and the Graham cream, 1112 Camppville Road, Chesapik, with Pastor Sarah Locke.
