Madison De La Garza has announced the death of her baby.
The 22-year-old actress – who is the sister of pop singer Demi Lovato – was expecting her first child with partner Ryan Mitchell, but revealed on Saturday (26.10.24) that they suffered a heartbreaking loss at the end of September.
She wrote on Instagram: “On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency c-section, Ryan and I held our baby girl for the first and last time. Thank you Xiomara for making us the parents of the most perfect angel in heaven .mommy and daddy love you sweet girl.”
Meanwhile, Madison’s other brother Dallas Lovato, 36, left a tribute in the form of a poem.
She wrote: “Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you everyday. / I’ll take good care of your mother so you can fly away. / Watch over us and guide us and give us little signs.
“One day we will come to see you, it just might take a while. / Not a day will pass without you in our hearts.
“”I wish we had more time together before you had to go. / So have fun in your new world, the one we can’t see. / ‘Cause every breath I take I’ll take one for z”
The Desperate Housewives star did not elaborate on the sad circumstances, but former Disney Channel actress Demi, 32, took to social media to note that she will “forever” be the baby’s aunt.
She wrote on Instagram: “RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara. I’m so thankful I got to hug you. I’ll be your aunt forever.”
Just weeks ago, Demi opened up about her excitement about becoming an aunt, firstly noting that family is one of her biggest “values” in life.
She said: “I am really excited that there is new life in our family. Family is very important to me. I value family and friends over success every day.”
