Delta Days in the Capitol of Nevada – Carson now

For 112 years, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, historical African -American non -profit women’s organization has been dedicated to scholarships, sisterish and service. With 350,000 members and 1,000 heads worldwide, Sorority continues to influence worldwide communities.

The head of Las Vegas (LVAC) graduates, founded more than 60 years ago by 12 Charter members, is the second largest head in the Pharvette region. With 250 active local members, LVAC serves the Las Vegas Community, providing countless hours of service, compelling programming and effective cooperation with local organizations to offer thousands of scholarships every year. The diligent, dedicated and talented members continue to raise the bar each year by producing the highest quality awarded programs in accordance with the National Delta Five Points program.

Members of the Committee on Social Actions of Graduates of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host Delta Days in Capitol of Nevada on February 10, 2025. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a non -party organization. And this event aims to engage with state legislators, government officials and employees to build relations and share state priorities, community information and social resources. Twenty-five members will participate in advocacy activities led by President of Chapter Dr. Rebecca Rogers and Delta Presidents Dr. these Matis-Culman and Mrs. Ashley Floyd.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It is obviously distinguished as a reputable international organization for public services with a critical focus on programs aimed at education, health, international development and strengthening of the family of Afro -American. Social actions for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It means using the collective voice of our internship, education and initiatives of the Community aimed at stimulating social change. This includes activities such as legislative advocacy, education and registration of voters and addressing urgent issues of public policy to improve the life of marginalized communities.

Nevada’s remarkable delta includes Judge Johnny Rowlinson, Dr. Linda Young, North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Gines-Brown and school namesakes Eva G. Simmons, Dr. Beverly S. Matis and Helen Tolland. On the national scene Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. He proudly counts among the secretary of his members Marcia Fuj and the justice of the Supreme Court Ketanji Brown Jackson.
