Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) – Has anyone told you just the right thing at the right time? Several Lubbock people lend their DOORDASH driver as they are this voice of encouragement just when they need it.
Lubbock Dyan Covington therapist has been feeling a little lately and has been craving some of his favorite comfortable food. She placed Doordash last week and was surprised to find a handwritten note glued to the bag.
Under a star-shaped sticker and up to the hugs, her doordasher, Laquita, wrote “Always remember, you are stronger than you think and love more than you know! Have a blessed weekend! “
After a rough few weeks, the encouraging message almost brought Covington to tears.
“There are eight billion people on this planet and we are not alone, but sometimes life feels very lonely. It was a big deal, “she said.
Covington wanted Lakita to see how much the message meant, so she posted it on the LBK Foodies Facebook group. Little knew that Lakita was known for leaving these encouraging messages to all her clients. Several commented on the kind notes they received from her, one noted that she still had it in her fridge.
“I think she has experienced enough things herself to know that it is really important for someone to encourage you. I want to say that the United States is in a mental health crisis, so I feel like wherever someone can lift or encourage, it just means a lot. So, I just hope she really knows she has a huge impact, “Covington said.
Kita Harris, as you know in social media, commented on the publication, thanked everyone for their good words. She says she has made her entire month know that he has touched so many people with “just” something.
