Delays south I -95 in North Virginia after a fatal crash – WTOP

Traffic stopped on the southern part of Interstate 95 in North Virginia with delays extending from Lorton to Dumfris after a deadly crash on Tuesday.

The Virginia State Police is investigating a disaster that happened shortly after 2:30 pm with the south 95 Express Lanes on the marker of 152 miles in Prince William County.

The SUV, which was stopped on the right shoulder, was struck by the driver of a work truck, which came down the right side of the road.

The SUV driver was killed and the passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, state police said.

95 Express Lanes are closed between Dumfres and Quantico.
