DeForest Police Search for Suspect After Shooting at Madison Campground – WMTV

DEFOREST, Wis. (WMTV) – The DeForest Police Department is searching for a 33-year-old black man involved in a shooting late Sunday night, officials said Monday.

According to DPD, officers responded around 10:00 pm to Camp Madison for reports of a shooting.

Authorities said Mycah Riggins was involved in a verbal fight with another man when he allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots. It hit the other man in the lower body. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said Riggins left the crime scene before police arrived.

Authorities believe he is in Dane County and have active warrants for his arrest. Authorities also believe he is armed and dangerous.
