Def Leppard covered Ben E. King’s Stand by Me.
“Los Angeles and his surroundings have always played a central role in the career of Def Leppard, from the fact that some of us are based and this is in our American rehearsal center to be the city where we played our first American concert, – – Joe Elliot said. “We feel blessed that we can dedicate this song and give all the rewards to the incredible characters in LA, helping those affected by the fire. There is no better song.”
The band released a video to go with the song as Phil Colen adds that times like these are times for performers to return to those who need,
“In times of devastation, standing together is more important than ever. As a resident of Southern California for 35 years, a witness to the impact of wild fires while they continue to devastate the communities in California. Our cover of Ben E.’s booth. King ‘from me is a tribute to sustainability, unity and hope.
