Pittsburgh – Pitt Panters Dun’s postgraduate student received a recent injury that saw people relying on whether he would return next season.
Dunn broke his elbow at the loss of 67-66 from North Carolina on February 8, which ended his game early, forcing him in the dressing room at the end of the second half.
Capel, after Losing UNC, said Dunn would probably miss the rest of the season, but that they need to return to Pittsburgh to check it before confirming it.
Pete returned home after their loss from 83-63 on SMU on February 11 and found out shortly after. Dunn does not play against SMU, nor at the win at home 74-65 over Miami on February 15, with his hand in a slingshot for this one.
Capel configures that Dunn will miss the rest of the season after winning the hurricanes.
Dunn, who is her sixth year at Basketball College, is redirected as a freshman to Temple in the 2019-20 season and uses his extra year of eligibility this season, but some believe he was shooting on a medical red shirt.
Capel told ACC Zoom Call coaches that Dun is unlikely to get a medical red shirt because of how many games he played.
“I doubt,” Capel said to Dun. “I think he has played too many games. There is a certain percentage that you need to be under to get a red shirt, and I think he has played too many games for it. “
NCAA usually gives a medical red shirt for injuries that end in the season, but also if a player competes in less than 30% of season and if it happens before the campaign average point.
Dunn has played in 16 of 25 games that Pitt has played this season and with a total of 31 games for the seasons, he probably won’t get this medical red shirt.
Dunn missed seven games this season after undergoing surgery on his right thumb and also undergoing a right -wing ankle when the then ranked No. 9 Wisconsin was lost at the outbreak of Greenbrier at White Sulphur Springs, W.VA. On November. 24.
