CVC Fighting Championships: Trenton Hi girls settled as a top program – Trentonian

Robbinsville – It seems that another dynasty may appear in the world of Mercer County.

After winning the final tournament of Mercer County a year ago, Trenton stormed the team title during the first year of the colonial valley conference championship, accumulating 195 points with three individual Champions in Robinsville High on Saturday.

Ewing’s rise program came in second place, while Hamilton, Lawrence and Heitstown round the top five.

Entering Trenton first, they were Princess Buri Woody (114), Evdora Pamfil (132) and Eileen Morales (145).

Redded in the top three in the state after finishing third in the state last March, Woody repeated as a champion, picking up during the first period. She has been unbeaten during the year against girls and has been fighting a lot against boys in double matches.

Pamphile and Morales won with a solution, but the real key to Trenton’s success is its depth and ability to get into the greater part of the weight. In this case, there were two girls to finish second, along with the three champions.

“Girls focus on this throughout the year,” said Trenton coach Rob Prouts. “This is a really good achievement because the tournament is growing and has doubled in size (in the number of girls who have entered). It is definitely more competitive. “

Although other Mercer girls programs are growing, they still have a way to go to catch up with the tornado. There are 30 girls in Trenton’s room, and although the bigger part failed to compete on Saturday, they were right there, cheering on their teammates. Prneets did not hesitate when asked why Trenton had such excellent numbers.

“I constantly go around the halls and talk to coaches (in other sports) that encourage girls to go out for the team,” he said. “I somehow beat him from them, convincing them that they should go out. For many of them, the first week is rough because it is a physical sport, but after they go through it, they like to be part of the team. “

In other results, Ella Johnson of Steinert was declared an exceptional fighter after being nailed for 58 seconds at 165 pounds. Johnson put in the United States last and certainly seems capable of doing it again. Another thing you have to watch in the after -season is Ewing Sam. She also nailed her £ 120 in the final.

The Hopwell Valley had her first champions when Mihalina Cubiak prevailed at 138. The host Robinsville host after Christie Mejja entered the first at 126. Ewing also received gold from Alexandra Neuberr on 152, and Heaitstown had two champions, as well as with Caira Huastitlian Reyes of 185. Sanan at 235.
