Irvine, California – the beach volleyball team at the University of Concordia Irvine opens the 2025 season at The Green Wave Invitational in New Orleans, Louisiana this week. The Golden Eagles will be compared against Texas A&M Corpus Christi in its opening season, followed by the University of New Orleans on Friday, February 21, and then the University of Tulan and the University of Alabama Birmingham on Saturday, February 22. Courts 1, 2, 2, and 3 will be available to consider the live flow updates and the results that can be traced in the life of volleyball.
Chief coach Jenny Griffith enters the sixth season at the head of the Golden Eagles after led the team to the historic final of the AVCA Small College Championship, marking the first appearance of the finals program. Cui set a school record for most wins in the 2024 season, ending with a total of 24-12 records and a perfect 10-0 brand at home.

The Golden Eagles added six transfers to their list – Gabriel Recking., Olivia Medina., Ashley RossiSamantha Campion, Eva Gardnerand Alice GavvaS CUI also welcomes four freshmen: Taylor Soul., Cozy zimmerman., Sophie KaneAnd Jordan Vander Veen, who will make the transition from a firm vessel to the sand.
The Golden Eagles return to Southern California for the battle of LA next week. CUI will face four ranked opponents USC, Pepperdine, LMU and Cal Poly from Friday, February 28 to Saturday, March 1st.
The CUI Home Openman is on Wednesday, March 19, against Cal State La at 9:00 am before another match with Colorado Mesa at 13:00 PT.
