A 54-year-old Cuban, identified as Hesus Rodriguez, was arrested this week by police in Hyalea after being involved in a dispute in which he threatened another man with a pocket knife.
According to authorities, Rodriguez begins to follow the victim for no apparent reason, while they were both in the area of the 49th street and the 16th Avenue West, in the parking lot of Home landfill.
The situation escalated when the victim was confronted with him and the defendant pulled a knife out of his pocket, threatening to kill him.
The victim managed to move away quickly, avoiding a direct attack while Rodriguez tried to hide among the parked cars.
