Donald Balantin also reported indecently with the girl – who was between the ages of 13 and 16 – and sent an explicit photo.
The 56-year-old appeared in the Sheriffe Court of Kilmarnok last week and pleaded guilty to three charges.
Prosecutor Craig Wainwright told the court that Balantin had known about the girl since she was seven years old. He began sending her messages to WhatsApp after they exchanged the numbers after a recent interaction.
G -n Wainwith explained: “It started in June and it was a more normal chat to the accused [Ballantyne] He began to refer to sex and make sexual remarks. ”
Kilmarnok’s sheriff court heard that this included sexual remarks about her body and stating that he had “liked schoolgirls”.
“He will tell her that she is sexy and wants to have sex with her,” added G -n -Wainless.
The fiscal MP also told the court that once Balantine had sent a photo of his private member of the girl.
At one stage, she asked the 56-year-old if what they were doing was illegal, to which he replied “only if he said something” and the couple agreed not to do it.
The interactions were only through messages until July, when the teenager sent Balantine a message regarding the breakdown of her waist.
Balantin then informed the girl that he had purchased Vapes and sent a message saying “Vapes for T ** s”, referring to her body, which caused the couple to be organized at Irshire Park.
Balantine was present at this place on July 11, 2023 and was within the camper – invites the teenager to the back of the vehicle.
When she was in court, it was said that he removed her pants and pants to her hips and touched her ass before the girl left the vehicle.
G -n Wainwright added: “They later exchanged messages and accused asked what he would do if he puts his hand between her legs.”
Then Balantine met the girl again, the same place, the next day, and there was a similar interaction.
On this occasion, she also rubbed her private area and touched her breasts over her clothes.
These meetings and Balantine’s messages were later discovered by the girl’s mother when she confiscated her phone as a punishment.
She saw a number of exchanges between the couple who included sexualized messages and questioned her daughter about them.
Then the teenager revealed his mother’s meetings before the question was raised with the police.
Balantine was then traced by police on July 15 and was identified as the person responsible for the messages as the owner of the telephone number from which they were sent.
He was interviewed later during the month and told the full circumstances in the police before he was warned and charged.
Later, his mobile phone was viewed by cybercrime, which revealed a number of messages – including those of sexual nature.
Balantine, from Newton Road to Strathaven, also pleaded guilty to participating in sexual activity with or to the child on July 12 and 13 of the same year.
He also admitted that he had made the girl examine a sexual image, sending obscene and explicit messages, all between June 3 and July 13, 2023.
Defending the lawyer Craig Brilli called for previous reports before a sentence was set.
He noted that Balantine was the first offender, though he said he “understood the seriousness of the issue and these crimes.”
The lawyer also asked for a guarantee to be allowed while the reports were prepared, as Balantine adhered to all the conditions of this after his arrest.
Sheriff Nicolas Patrick has agreed to delay his decision to receive background documents, although there is a warning about Balantine.
She said, “Whatever origin is, he does not take away from the fact that she is a teenager. This is an incredibly serious question. ”
The sentence was then postponed until later this year, with Ballantyne added to the register of sexual criminals in the intermediate.
