WINSTON-SALEM, NC (WGHP) — A crash on a major Winston-Salem road could affect your commute Tuesday morning.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, all lanes of US 52 South are closed due to a crash.
2 crashes close Bryan Blvd in Greensboro for hours
The closure is in effect at the intersection of US 52 with Interstate 40 West. Additionally, the I-40 West to US 52 South exit is also closed.
All traffic is currently being diverted from US 52 North to Waughtown Street.
Footage from the crash scene shows a wrecked trailer crashing into the median on US 52.
Traffic camera footage shows some congestion on US 52 South as a result of the closure.
There is currently about 2 miles of traffic on the highway.
Police say the road will remain closed until around 7:30-8:30 a.m. for cleanup.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash or the status of those involved.
