County Durham Woman launches a successful chimney cleaning business – the northern echo

Lydia Wharton was a self -busy seamstress, a role she found, while her two children were very young and needed full -time children.

She is interested in the role after talking to the chimney who visited her parents’ home.

She said, “I absolutely love him, it’s great.

“This is the best decision I have ever made and I just like to work for myself.”

“They gave me confidence to do it. I felt someone had a back.

“Don’t listen to people when they say,” You can’t do it, it’s a man’s job, “because now there’s no such thing.

“Proofing people wrong along the way was just like an additional bonus.

“You can do whatever you need, so just go on.”
