Coroner identifies man killed in Midtown Reno shooting – KTVN

The Washoe County medical examiner has identified the man who died after a shooting in Midtown Reno early Saturday morning.

The medical examiner says Andrei Kucher, 36, died after arriving at Renown Regional Medical Center after police said he was shot in the head at Shea’s Tavern.

A second man remains in critical condition and two others are also in hospital with unknown injuries.

A suspect, John Paul Seger, 42, was arrested around 2 a.m. on Cedar Street.

Seger is charged with open murder, assault with a deadly weapon, concealed carry of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of four victims in Midtown Reno.

Just after midnight on Saturday, November 2, Reno Police responded to the 700 block of South Virginia Street for reports of shots fired in that area.

When officers arrived on scene, they found four adults with gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering medical aid.

REMSA took all four victims to the hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.

Police are still searching for the suspect and an active investigation is underway.

The Reno Police Department is asking people to avoid the area of ​​S. Virginia St. from California Avenue to Cheney.

They believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
