Hialeah, FLA. -Religious ritual in Hyaliah made a deadly turn on Wednesday night, ending with a fatal shooting and the arrest of a 48-year-old man, police confirmed in a Friday’s arrest report.
Hyalea police said employees responded to a home near West Fourth Avenue and West 76th Street at about 10:15 after shooting reports.
After arriving, police said they had found a man identified only as a “nodar” in the report lying in the face of blood outside the front door covering his face.
The medics declared him dead in place. Inside, police said the employees found a man and his son injured.
Police reported that the boy had suffered cuts on both hands and was taken to Niklaus Children’s Hospital while his father was a knife placed on the side of his head and was transported to Ryder’s traumatic center at the Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Hialeah killing detectives have launched an investigation and learned that the victims were at the Santoria Ritual Home, which is being carried out by Milton Kao.
At one point, the investigators said a dispute between Kao, Novar, the boy and his father. The dispute then poured out, where police confirmed that a rifle had erupted.
According to the boy’s statement, police said Novar had stumbled back into the home, bleeding from his leg and pulled out a knife before heading for the bathroom.
The confrontation escalates when Novar stabbed the boy’s father and the boy was injured as he tried to intervene, according to investigators.
Police have announced that at one point Kao has opened fire, shooting with Novar many times while trying to leave home.
A woman at the residence at that time told police that she had witnessed Cao Shoot Novar several times and immediately called 911, according to the report.
While in the arrest of the accident, police said CAO had made an unsolicited statement to officers, which was captured on a video of the police chamber.
Authorities said CAO was taken to the Hyallea Police Department for questioning, claiming that he did not remember what had happened and refused to shoot anyone, the report said.
Prison records show that he faces a number of second -degree killings and illegal possession of a firearm as a convicted criminal.
As of Friday, CAO is held without connection at the Turner Guilford Knight correction center.
The records show that he had a previous arrest for possession of cocaine.
